By working as volunteers in the geriatric department, We came to know the elderly on a personal level. We experienced their loneliness and confusion about the outside world. What struck us the most was that many of them had not seen the outside world in a long time due to our well-known antagonist COVID19.

Inspired by the saying "Can't see the Wood for the Trees," we combined technology and tactility to create a stage-like environment and bring the outside back for the elderly.

We made a portable tree that can be transported to each house/room. This creates many possibilities for the elderly to experience the outside world in their own inside space and creates an environment that encourages one-on-one conversations between us and them. The projection on the tree has an abstract and almost-magical look.
